Frozen Margaritas

This classic Texas Frozen Margarita recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser on hot summer nights or anytime you're in the mood for a fiesta.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz platinum or silver tequila, try Patron brand
  • 3 oz triple sec
  • 12 oz can frozen limeade concentrate
  • 3 cans crushed ice, reuse empty limeade can
  • 1/4 cup water, as needed, to blend

Optional Garnish

  • lime slices, fresh lime juice, margarita salt, fresh mint sprigs 

Instructions
 

  • Optional garnish—wash fresh mint sprigs. Set aside. Slice lime. Cut each slice halfway to center to fit on rim of glass. Set aside. Juice a second lime. Dip rims of glasses in lime juice and then salt. Place glasses in freezer.
  • Add frozen limeade concentrate to high-powered blender. Fill limeade can with tequila. Add to blender. Fill can 1/4 full of triple sec. Add to blender. Add 3 cans crushed ice. Blend until mixture is slushy.  If mixture is too thick, add water as needed. Remove glasses from freezer, fill with frozen margaritas, and serve.
